Little Guy Oilfield Rentals was founded in the last quarter of 2004 following extensive market research into the Western Canadian rig matting supply industry. Studies revealed the need for a better, more durable product quality than was generally available on the rental market. And, it had to be readily available at a fair price. There was also a great deal of concern about ground disturbance and reducing environmental impact, especially in eco-sensitive zones.

With all of those specifications in mind, and a few more to boot, the answer soon became obvious. Little Guy Oilfield Rentals proudly features the “Anchor” brand of matting due to its low repair cost, numerous safety features, ease of installation, and load bearing capacity.

Our Company…

Little Guy Oilfield Rentals was founded by a couple of guys who really know their way around the Canadian oil patch, Darrel Bohlender and Jack Fraser. Between them, they have six decades worth of experience dedicated to serving oilfield customers.

With that much time in the industry, Darrel and Jack learned first hand what it takes to make things happen safely, on time, and on budget. They also got to know their customers.

Time and again the story was the same: customers were tired of being bullied around by the big service companies and, given the choice, they would support a smaller outfit – a “little guy” that knew their stuff and really delivered in terms of customer service, efficiency, and attitude.

Well, a lot goes into a name and that’s why we call ourselves Little Guy Oilfield Rentals. We’re small compared to some, but mighty proud of what we do and how we do it. Around here, when a customer puts their trust and confidence in us, we return the favor with a commitment to give them a hand in any way possible. We operate as partners. Like any business relationship, it’s one based on honesty, integrity, competence, and mutual respect.
